La Pedrera, or Casa Milà, one of the most famous buildings in Barcelona that was designed by Antoni Gaudí, can´t be seen in it´s full glory from January 2014 onwards. After the Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera is one of the most visited buildings in Barcelona. La Pedrera, Catalan for ´the quarry´, was finished in 1910 and after an era it was in urgent need of some renovations. In January 2014, the first steps of the renovation of La Pedrera were taken and estimated is that the renovation will be finished around January 2015. Spain´s most exclusive shopping street, Passeig de Gràcia, will miss one of its most famous facades for one year, nevertheless La Pedrera can still be visited and admired during 2014 and there are many more fantastic buildings to be seen on Passeig de Gràcia.
