Probably citizens, tourists of Barcelona and also GoCar users can feel jealous with the people living at 113 Girona street or those that work or live at 293 Mallorca street, without to mention those where their office are located at 35 Passeig de Gràcia avenue. That is because they are working or living at Casa Lamadrid, Casa Thomas or Casa Lleó i Morera, three buildings built by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, one of the most important architects of Catalan modernism. Unfortunately these three buildings are not open to the public and visitors are not allowed, so they only can be admire from the outside.
Although, it is possible to stay in La Casa Fuster, because it is a hotel, which offers the possibility to live even if it is just for a few days in an authentic Art Nouveau building.
Luckily, there are a couple of buildings whose cultural and divultive uses allow to be admired from inside, such as the building of the Editorial Montaner i Simon in which it is located the Antoni Tàpies Foundation. A museum where it is possible to see the works of the Catalan contemporary artist and the Museum of Zoology at Parc de la Ciutadella.
All the buildings mentioned above do not admit visitors and neither are used for that purpose. But there are three buildings of Lluís Domènech i Montaner that allow visitors. One is the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, located at one end of Avenida Gaudí, another it is the Palau Ramon Montaner, vcurrently the Central Government Delegation in Barcelona, and finally the Palau de la Música Catalana, a space which also it is possible to go to attend music concerts.
