According to the legends this mountain was where the Devil tempted Jesus by laying the whole world out below him in return for his allegiance and though in reality you can still only see from Barceloneta Beach to the foot of the mountains it’s still a pretty spectacular view. On top of the mountain today you may not find the Devil but you will find an old, but still fully functioning, amusement park and a catholic church, the temple de Sagrat Cor, which is modelled on Paris’s Sacre Coeur

Wherever you are in Barcelona, you cannot help but notice the Tibidabo church beckoning from the hill in the distance. At the church, you can take an elevator all the way to the top for a breathtaking view of Barcelona and the mountains behind it.
